Tom's investigation of an apparent suicide soon focuses on a dodgy dentist. Meanwhile Tom assumes Lucas hired a P.I. to spy on him as part of his dirty divorce, but learns Lucas nobly puts his kids' interest first while the real culprit can't even offer a motive.

On the way to Tom's wedding, he and Mike witness how Jimmy is run over during an alcohol control by a speeding car driven by undercover Brik. Federal commissioner Wim Jacobs demands cooperation to catch Brik, whom he believed defected to Rodrigo Alva and son Dimitri Garcia's Russian synthetic drugs gang, which he infiltrated.
