Discuss The Lord of the Rings (Animated) Collection

Item: The Lord of the Rings Animated Collection

Language: en-US

Type of Problem: Incorrect_content

Extra Details: The Lord of the Rings (1978) is not part of this collection, it is a standalone film. As the Wikipedia article for Return of the King (1980) states, it "is a sequel to the 1977 film The Hobbit. The film is often mistaken as a sequel to Ralph Bakshi's 1978 animated film The Lord of the Rings."

Someone has now re-added the movie back in after it was removed. Can it please be blacklisted from the collection?

I removed the film and locked the collection so no other entries can be added to it. Thanks.

I hate to butt-in here, but wouldn't it make sense to include TLoTR(1978) as it is also an animated reimagining of Tolkien's work or have I misunderstood the purpose of collections in TMDB?

Collections are only for true movie sequels.

Oh, that's a shame, thanks for clarifying!

Are there other structures that can be used to group Canonical relations or?

And sorry for the bother!

Currently not.

You will have to wait for the development of the universes feature. No date yet.
