Scientist Doctor Who accidentally activates his new invention, the Tardis, a time machine disguised as a police telephone box. Who, his two granddaughters Barbara and Susan, and Barbara's boyfriend Ian are transported through time and space to the planet Skaro, where a peaceful race of Thals are under threat of nuclear attack from the planet's other inhabitants: the robotic mutant Daleks.

Doctor Who and his companions are hurled into the future and make a horrifying discovery: the Daleks have conquered Earth! The metal fiends have devastated entire continents and turned the survivors into Robomen.

Belinda Chandra has been kidnapped by robots, faced a terrifying god and a creature of pure evil on her travels with the Doctor. With the TARDIS still unable to get her home to Earth, Belinda must fight for her life as the Doctor faces an almighty threat to reality itself…

With almost everyone on Earth now recast in his image, The Master controls the Earth. He's shocked however when he realises one person hasn't changed; Donna Noble. The Doctor soon understands what the pounding in the Master's head is; it's the Time Lords, who are trying to return and re-establish Gallifrey. If they succeed, it'll mean the Last Great Time War will re-start, and all the horrors which came with it. In order to stop Rasillon's mad plan, the Doctor must make a choice. Finally, the Ood's prophecy for the Doctor becomes true, and he takes the TARDIS on a trip, to see friends for one last time, before he's to regenerate.
