Sea Patrol is an Australian television drama set on board HMAS Hammersley, a fictional patrol boat of the Royal Australian Navy. The series focuses on the ship and the lives of its crew members.

The story follows fisherman Ed Collier, who is highly protective over his family, which includes wife Claire and daughter Abbie. However, when a rich young man by the name of Ryan Wilson starts to take an interest in his daughter, Ed feels her becoming increasingly distant and fears he may lose her for good.

Mary Trewednack lives above her Post Office in the fictitious Cornish village of St Gweep with her neurotic partner Angela. Lesbians until something better comes up, they enjoy the cosy security of life in a tight-knit coastal community, but their chances of finding suitable men are more remote than the village itself. This exciting series features three crews of herring fishermen. It’s a brutal way to make a living, because herring has to be caught at night, when the fish come up to the surface.
