يصل (متولي) الشاب القروي إلى القاهرة لإتمام دراسته، فمتولي متزوج من سميرة ويساعده (كمال) ابن عمه على الحياة في القاهرة. تطلب (نانا) الراقصة الفاتنة من صديقها الدكتور (جلال) أن يعطي مكافأة مالية لمتولي لتساعده على المعيشة. في الوقت ذاته، تعجب نانا بمتولي وتقرر الزواج منه ويصاحبها في عملها بالملهى ويهمل دراسته، ويكاد أن يطرد من الجامعة، فيصمم (كمال) على إنقاذه.

The young villager, Metwalli, arrives in Cairo to complete his studies. Metwalli is married to Samira, and his cousin, Kamal, helps him survive in Cairo. The charming dancer, Nana, asks her friend, Dr. Jalal, to give Metwalli a financial reward to help him live. At the same time, Nana falls in love with Metwalli and decides to marry him. He accompanies her to her work at the nightclub, neglects his studies, and is almost expelled from university, so Kamal is determined to save him.
