Ju-a, a 15-year-old girl born and raised in Chuncheon, a small tourist town in Gangwon Province, spends her summer vacation swimming with her friends during the day and helping her mother, who runs an old restaurant, at night. Then, one day, a massive typhoon hits her hometown, and the statue, the town's landmark, disappears.

강원도 춘천에서 나고 자란 열다섯 중학생 주아는 여름방학을 맞아 낮에는 친구와 수영장을 다니고, 밤에는 닭갈비 식당을 운영하는 엄마를 도우며 지낸다. 그러던 어느 날, 춘천에 아주 큰 태풍이 불어닥친다.
