本片又名《閨房趣事》。青年轎夫（宗華）混水摸魚，抖膽假扮王爺與王妃偷歡，結果被拉去當太監。日本著名塑泥人高手井上吉（谷峰），其夫人（林伊娃）與情夫山田成（王俠）偷情，還以為夫人為他帶來大買賣呢。藝妓仙雲嫁予郡守（田青）為妻，而郡守酒後即醉，醉了則睡得形如死豬，結果仙雲乘機與情夫崔銘（岳華）幽會。剪刀舖老板娘張楊氏（胡錦）乘丈夫前往天津，先後與小開胡楚與學徒小韓偷歡，怎知其丈夫提早回來，張楊氏竟以一個偷情故事瞞混過去。
