I liked The Lake House, even bought the dvd. There’s something of a tragic love to it, plus seeing Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock together on screen is a treat. That said, the original Korean film, Il Mare, is even better. I just watched it for the first time. It’s more subtle, more heartfelt, and works better given that the lead actors are younger.

That’s okay, still love the Keanu remake, but try to watch the original version if you get the chance!
