This is one of my favourite films. Hard to give a concrete reason why . Touching, funny, mystical..... all that and more. I cry every time I watch it. Think the musical score by James Horner has a lot to do with its magic.

I haven't seen this for a very long time but I always enjoyed it. Horner's score, yes, was surely among his best. I really liked James Earl Jones's performance in this, too.

I really enjoyed it too. One of my favourite Kevin Costner movies. I loved the ending with his father.
It's interesting to note that field is still there.. I read somewhere the owners were trying to sell it.

"The Field of Dreams Movie Site" was bought by an investment group that had "pave this over and put up a theme park" plans for the area. Local opposition to such rural desecration has scared these blue chippers into status quo...for now. I did learn that the field lights aren't used; it's closed for the night after 1800/sundown. But you can still "play catch," run the bases, walk into the corn, tour the house, buy a curio, and leave a talisman.

I really enjoy this movie. Love how it all comes together at the end.
As an aside, Costner must really like baseball having done this movie, Bull Durham, and For Love of the Game.

I have a hunch that if I owned it, I'd never sell it.
