Adam Sandler ruined a potentially FUN movie!

Why oh WHY did this become an Adam Sandler vehicle?!? The premise, though far fetched, was fun! The SFX & 3D are spot on! The early 80s game references are great! Even the casting like Peter Dinklage & Josh Gad were spot on (both were HILARIOUS in their respective roles btw)...but Jesus...Adam...he looks OLD, TIRED, UNMOTIVATED, BORED & he definitely phoned it in! This movie failed because of HIM! Its no wonder he was relegated to Netflix movies shortly after...no one wants to see his old, unfunny, tired a$$ anymore!

Adam Sandler/Happy Madison Productions paid to have it made. However he's not all to blame, as it was Chris Columbus who directed it.
