This film is a social comedy which depicts women's endeavor to get the right to live free from men's violence in a male dominated society. This Film begins with a newly married couple. They wed against the wishes of family and friends, who thought they weren't a good match. As their marriage progresses, the young couple realize that marriage is not what you see in movies or read in books. They find that love, sex and marriage are very different from what they had dreamed. They also understand why people disagreed with the marriage from the beginning.

한 사람은 라디오 프로듀서로 한 사람은 성우로 방송국에서 만난 김태규(최민수)와 최지혜(심혜진)의 결혼이야기. 일터에서 가정에서 바쁘고 즐겁게 살아가는 김태규와 최지혜의 결혼은 성공처럼 보인다. 그러나 시간이 흐를수록 둘 사이에는 사랑보다 해결해야 할 집안 일들이 산더미같이 쌓인다. 이른 아침 지혜의 헤어드라이기 소리에 단잠에서 깨어나는 태규의 불만, 연애시절 밤새워 얘기해도 재미가 넘쳤던 태규와의 대화가 채 1분을 넘기지 못하는 것에 대한 지혜의 불만. 무엇보다 결혼은 그들이 미혼시절에 가졌던 성에 관한 환상에서 하나 둘 깨어나게 만든다.

Este filme é uma comédia social que retrata o esforço das mulheres para obter o direito de viver livre da violência masculina numa sociedade dominada pelos homens. Este filme começa com um casal recém-casado. Eles se casaram contra a vontade de familiares e amigos, que achavam que não eram um bom casal. À medida que o casamento avança, o jovem casal percebe que casamento não é o que você vê nos filmes ou lê nos livros.
