A disappointment

While this movie was good for what it is, it was disappointing to discover the primary twist and discover that it's not what you expect going in. I'd recommend this to people only with the added advice, "Expect the unexpected."

I couldn't stand Matt, he made the movie almost unwatchable for me. I couldn't believe how much of a stupid wus he was, and always did the wrong things...I mean always. It's hard to contemplate that guys like him exist, but they probably do. Matt truly was the most dangerous thing in those moors, that's saying a lot.

I didn't care for this film either. I liked the premise but other than that, the characters annoyed me and I either didn't understand or missed the reasoning of the girl (Charlotte?) with the eye patch.

The little girl was a bit bizarre. She was the serial killer's daughter, I understood that much, but that whole concept was a bit weird.

I sorta figured she was his daughter - but why the patch? Dumb things bother me. Now that I think of it, I can only think the reason she was there at all was to bring everyone to the edge of the cliff. Then again.... why the patch ? LOL

I couldn't help but wonder if the eye patch was supposed to suggest that her father had physically abused her and put her eye out. On the other hand maybe not; it might have been just to make her seem more sympathetic or something.
