It was good but very predictable. You got a feeling automatically that Douglas was a bad guy, especially when they didnt show him get 'shot' at the door. Than Bloom just so happens to be in the apartment robbing it. I did enjoy the little twist of faith when he gets mauled to death by that guys dog. Very rewarding but random. Seemed like the writers needed away for Noomis character to be able to get away. Also a interesting take on the spy genre. Showing some CIA as bad guys and some Muslims as good guys.

Totally agree with how predictable Michael Douglas's character was and faking his death.
But a couple of things I was surprised about; 1), Bloom's character didn't come back because you never saw him die. I was expecting him to appear in the end. And 2) the young dad friend amjad got killed off!
Overall it was enjoyable though.

Yeah, I got the feeling they might bring Bloom back at the end, maybe he just got tired of being in the film and had himself written out? I was really expecting him to come back as well, maybe with a change of heart. And I was thinking the young black friend would get killed off since he was to nice and trusting!

To be fair, Bloom was hardly in it...seemed like he was only there to practice his cockney accent! I, too, was thinking he would return but with a change of heart but the way he brutalised Noomi's character even that would have been far fetched (even for this film!).
Speaking of the young black dad, and not to play the race card, but all the "good" ethnic sub-characters got killed off; him, the courier and the lift technician who had a change of heart!!

Thought it was utter garbage and mostly laughable to be honest. I didn't really understand what the masterplan with Orlando Bloom's character was. The plan was apparently to have him rob a tv from the superspy's makeshift apartment because obviously it can only lead to some kind of an alliance with Ms. Superspy and the would be robber. Speaking of Ms. superspy I love how she breaks and infiltrates these terrorist networks when her arabic sounds like it was spoken like a broken google translator from the early 2000's. The worst part was the hollywood whitewashing and sugarcoating with the whole terrorist ideology and you have the imam who just decides to become a good guy and the worst part was the other arab terrorist who plants a chemical bomb at a packed football stadium, but has a change of heart because there are kids there. I mean seriously, it came as a surprise to him that there might be kids at a sold out packed football stadium. What are the odds.

Bloom was plant by Douglas to try and get the information from the Imam on the secret go phrase. Bloom would have failed if it wasnt for the police showing up and giving him a chance to rescue Noomi. As for the Arabic, dont speak it so I cant tell if it sounds right or wrong. And how is Hollywood whitewashing this? We have blacks and arabs in it. I dont think this counts as a whitewash. Like I said in other posts I actually enjoyed seeing the twist on reverse roles about the CIA being the cruel ones and the 'terrorists' with the change of heart.

Yeah the other poster needs to understand what whitewashing means.
Actually, the bit where Bloom enters the film got me a bit confused; why did the police enter the flat opposite and what made her realise that she should run? Toni Collette's character was good and the police that did come to the flat looked like real police. As Collette said, she ran so it gave the CIA and MI5 that she had 'turned'

The police entered the flat opposite hers because she switched the phone lines before she called knowing it would be traced. And she wanted to clear her name so to speak, since she knew the CIA and MI5 would suspect her of turning and they would not be able to stop the 'terrorist' attack in time. That and she also still had guilt from the last op she was on, supposedly not being able to break the guy on time and having the bus blow up. Which was a lie by the CIA since they wanted a whistle blower to get killed.

What made me mad was the MI5 superwoman. She put a civilian in the line of fire. This 95 lb woman took three bullets to her vest but got right back up. In real life the wind would've got knocked out of her and she would have some broke/bruised ribs. This officer got shot by a .380 and this is what it looks like under his vest http://wtvr.com/2017/09/20/officer-shares-photo-of-bruise-caused-by-bullet-that-struck-his-bulletproof-vest/?utm_source=fark&utm_medium=website&utm_content=link&ICID=ref_fark

The above is a link with actual doctor analysis assessing the damage John McClane takes in the first Die Hard movie and determines he should have died 4 times. Now the difference between Die Hard and this movie is that Die Hard was actually good.
The fact 95lb Ms. Superspy survives being shot in her vest is beside the point, because if the movie were good it wouldn't matter. Seriously though watch that video. There's also one for Home Alone and it's hilarious.
