Discuss Bone Tomahawk

I do love me some Kurt Russell and I do enjoy a good western so when I saw this on Netflix I immediately added it to my queue. The only thing was I wasn’t geared up for a horror, had no idea western horror was a genre. The first 1/3 of the movie sure seemed slow and very loosely edited but I’m guessing they did that so the violence would even be more shocking? Anyway, I had to FF the scenes in the cave jail, just couldn’t stomach it. Glad these cave dwellers don’t actually exist.

The scenes in the cave were very brutal, yes. That's what the film was going for, and that's what sets it apart from other westerns. For my part, it took me a few years to finally get around to watching this, and I'm glad I did. It's a different flavor of western than True Grit, Josey Wales, etc. and certainly has its own style.

I would like to tell everyone to save the time of this movie to spend on something useful. This is one of the stupidest movies I have watched to the end and it haunts me to this day. REALLY BAD! I love Kurt Russell but working on this one is the worst decision of his life. Happy Day!
