Hamburg, mid 80s, Alex is a cabby. The sound is hard, pubs are dark and loud, people constantly argue about anything and everything, people smoke all the time, and not just cigarettes. Alex wants love and freedom and sleeps with Dietrich. It's far from being love, but the sex is okay. With Marc, a little person full of dignity, she finds more than that. The rest is struggles with her passengers, the indifferent and the doomed, brutes as other nuisances. This sort of life could go on and on, Alex could drive away from her own life and in doing so lose Marc and not getting rid of Dietrich. Wouldn't there be a small monkey with the same invincible desire for freedom as hers.

Hambourg, 1986. Après avoir arrêté sa formation dans les assurances, Alexdonne sa démission. Ne sachant que faire de sa vie, elle répond à l'annonce d'une société de taxis et choisit de faire les nuits pour éviter le temps perdu dans les embouteillages. Alors que la cohabitation avec sa mère lui pèse de plus en plus, Alexandra s'offre un peu de bon temps avec Dietrich, un de ses collègues, qui lui a trouvé un petit appartement dans son immeuble.

Null Bock auf Versicherung! Alexandra ist 25, hat ihre Ausbildung zur Versicherungskauffrau abgebrochen und weiß nicht "was nun". Kurzentschlossen bewirbt sie sich bei einem Taxiunternehmen, macht den Taxischein und fährt fortan durch die Hamburger Nacht, mitten in den 80er Jahren. Ein Film über unangenehme Fahrgäste, skurrile Begebenheiten und vor allem: Sex und Liebe.

Hamburgo, mediados de los 80. Alex es taxista. Los pubs son oscuros y ruidosos, la gente discute por todo y fuman constantemente, no sólo tabaco. Alex quiere amor, pero también libertad, y se acuesta con Dietrich. Está lejos de ser amor, pero el sexo no está mal. Con Marc, una persona pequeña pero llena de dignidad, encuentra más que eso. El resto son luchas con sus pasajeros, los indiferentes y los condenados, los brutos y otros, simplemente, molestos.
