This is the story of three sensitive teens who are forced to deal with violence at home, violence at school. It is a story of friendship, of love and hate, where the adolescents world is revealed as cruel and beautiful, a world where the desire to die or kill and the will to live are very confused but finally define the fate of the three heroes.

David déménage avec son père dans une nouvelle ville. Il doit repartir à zéro, dans une nouvelle école, avec de nouveaux amis. C’est un jeune homme silencieux et timide dont la mère s'est suicidée, et qui utilise la musique et la lecture pour se retirer du monde. À l'école, il rencontre Josh, un gars arrogant et intimidateur au début, mais fondamentalement bon. Son comportement découle de la violence psychologique et physique que son frère aîné lui inflige, c'est une manière de défouler sa colère sur les autres. Linoy, une autre camarade de classe, complète le trio des personnages principaux du film, mais quand elle tombe amoureuse de David, elle va devenir cause de discorde entre les deux amis, tous d’eux épris d’elle.
