It's interesting in how it shows the toll that the search for meaning in fame can take on someone's life...
I like how it didn't devolve into a bitter, self pittying portrait of a boxer... Despite the setbacks, the mood of the film is of someone trying to make things work...
The movie itself is very by-the-numbers...

Agree with your subject line OP: Not bad, not great... Just acceptable...
Loved the beginning and the lead up to the fight and the fight itself, the rest of it didn't hold my interest all that much.
