i think it will be a contender of several oscars as it is directed and shot by women and has a very "worthy" topic which will resonate with the academy voters...
I think there were better movies in 2017, but I can see this one getting some awards... Also, it being on Netflix means a lot of people will have seen it...

It may well pick up a few nominations although the last time Netflix was in the running, with Beasts of No Nation, it was shut out.

I'm not sure. It didn't really get any recognition at the Golden Globes. I'll have to look up it's nominations for the rest of the award shows.

Really excellent, gripping movie. Could feel the characters and what they're thinking.
I'm very glad to have seen it, and it seriously made me ponder of the yester-world and now, and wonder if we're really better... according to who?
As for the awards, doesn't influence me. They're overrated. Only one that caught my eye was Moonlight (2016).
