When two wives realize that their wealthy and otherwise upstanding husbands have mistresses, they invite the 'other women' to stay in their houses for awhile. Realizing that they are breaking up happy families, the girls eventually agree to give up the married men.

가정에 충실하던 중년의 한국대학 교수 조영하(김승호)와 대영산업의 김사장(김희갑)은 젊은 빠걸 만자(최은희)와 보영(조미령)을 각각 소실로 두고 제 2의 거처를 오가면서 서서히 저물어가는 인생의 아쉬움을 달랜다. 이 사실을 알게 된 그들의 아내(한은진, 황정순)들은 본처들의 모임인 '꿀벌회'에서 대책회의를 거친 후 작당해서 소실들의 집으로 쳐들어간다. 한편 로맨스 그레이와 내연의 관계에 있는 만자와 보영은 자신들도 피해자이며, 첩에게도 인권이 있다고 본처들에게 항변하지만, 남의 가정을 망친 것에 대한 죄책감으로 그들 부부들의 행복을 위해 스스로 물러나기로 마음먹고 부산으로 향한 기차에 함께 몸을 싣는다. 남편들이 한때의 탈선을 반성하고, 아내들이 자신들의 현재 모습을 다시 한번 돌아보게 되면서 양쪽 집은 모두 더욱 화목한 가정으로 거듭난다.
