He was returning to his own universe just like all the other characters.
He arrived during the end credit sequence of Let There Be Carnage and left during this films end credit sequence. In between he just got drunk!
The real important question is why did a part of him remain?

Because...venom is life! Hehe maybe the bartender will get it, not familiar with comics. Also read somewhere that maybe in the next Venom film, there will be a Peter Parker.

Then shouldnt it be Venom that returns to his own universe and not Eddie himself???? And yea, why not all of Venom.....why DID that bit remain?????
