片长88分钟（TV版13集）。这一作的剪辑水平很差劲，远不如后来的《战旗特别版》，许多重要细节都被删掉了，根本就没有达到“精简”的目的，而且《纹章》作为《星界》系列篇幅最长的一部作品，88分钟的长度未免太短，有点走马观花的成分。不过片中也新加进了几个有趣的情节，比如片尾讨论怎样处理拉菲尔的染发问题，这段内容是TV版没有的。

Brzy je poslán studovat jazyk a kulturu Abh a připravit se na budoucnost šlechtice - budoucnost, o které nikdy nesnil, nežádal o ni, a dokonce ani nechtěl. Nyní Jinto vstupuje do další fáze svého výcviku a chystá se setkat s první Abhkou svého života, půvabnou Lafiel. Jinto však brzy zjistí, že je v ní víc, než se na první pohled zdá, a společně budou muset bojovat o holý život.

Het leven van Linn Jinto verandert voor altijd wanneer Abh zijn thuisplaneet Martine overneemt zonder een enkel schot te lossen. Hij wordt al snel uitgezonden om de taal en cultuur van de Abh te bestuderen en zich voor te bereiden op zijn toekomst als edelman - een toekomst waar hij nooit van had gedroomd, waar hij nooit om had gevraagd of zelfs maar had gewild. Nu gaat Jinto de volgende fase van zijn training in en staat hij op het punt de eerste Abh in zijn leven te ontmoeten, de mooie Lafiel. Jinto staat echter op het punt te leren dat er meer met haar aan de hand is dan op het eerste gezicht lijkt, en samen zullen ze moeten vechten voor hun leven.
