I doubt it. Other than that the Soviet Union/Russia is a part of each story, they aren't the same. One's a spy story, the other is about the creation of a video game.

Unlike you I saw the movie, the game itself was irrelevant to the story and yes it was overly dramatized since there wouldn't be really movie if they stick to the facts
