Dawn in Madrid. In the Plaza de la Cibeles begins the daily grind. The statue of the goddess, from its source in the center of the square tells the story of a man, petty speculator, owner of an old building that is going to ask Saint Nicholas for his cooperation to make it sink, and thus be able to lift a twelve-story modern building. But the inhabitants of the block have also implored the Saint to prevent this from happening.

Amanece en Madrid. En la Plaza de la Cibeles comienza el ajetreo cotidiano. La estatua de la diosa, desde su fuente en el centro de la Plaza nos cuenta la historia de un hombrecillo, mezquino especulador, dueño de un viejo edificio que va a pedir a San Nicolás su colaboración para que se hunda, y poder así levantar un moderno edificio de doce pisos. Pero los habitantes del susodicho también han implorado al Santo para que esto no ocurra.
