So there's some kind of supernatural black magic being made against select humans, turning them into other types of animals, or at least some kind of hybrids.

But why is not a single person on planet earth trying to figure out who's behind this? It seems a lot of effort is going into perhaps finding some kind of medication (though, medication against magic? How's that gonna work?), figuring out how to live together with these turned animals, or simply hunting them. But not a single word of intent or even interest is uttered about figuring out who's doing this and how to stop it. It's ridiculous!
