未知子这次的外派工作地，是在和金泽市内风光明媚的街道截然相反的，充满黑暗危险气息的“黑须医疗中心”。该中心被认定为官民一体共同推进先进新药开发的复合体“最新医疗特区”，也是日本首个新药研发根据地。该中心妄图称霸“内科治疗为最高峰”的医疗界，彻底轻视外科，以投用新药为最优先治疗方案。简而言之，就是将外科医未知子彻底摈弃在外的地方。然而不知为何，她却被那里的院长·黑须贯太郎直接指名，要求为著名花滑选手做高难度手术！ 未知子则更在手术前，脱口说出了“我是不会失败的”的豪言壮语……！？(简介翻译：naru@日菁字幕组)

Kojiro Himuro is a champion figure skater taking part in an upcoming world competition. Yet, he is suffering from a complicated CTEPH (chronic thromboembolic pulmonary hypertension). Kantaro Kurosu is the director of the Cross Medical Center. He asks Michiko Daimon to perform surgery on Kojiro, but, right before his surgery, she is deprived of “the most important weapon as a surgeon.”

Kojiro Himuro est un champion de patinage artistique qui participe aux futures compétitions mondiales. Mais il souffre de CTEPH (hypertension pulmonaire thromboembolique chronique). Kantaro Kurosu, directeur du centre médical en charge de Kojiro demande à Michiko Daimon de l'opérer. Mais juste avant l'opération, elle perd son arme la plus importante en tant que chirurgienne.
