I definitely do. Got the DVD of the film The Plastic Age, that made her a star, just a month or so ago - also have long had the DVD of Wings, which is her most famous film.
Bow was definitely a one-of-a-kind, and certainly did have the "It" factor.
Right, Miss Bow is a legend, and her off-screen life could get even more publicity than her on-screen characters.
The Depression largely brought an end to her career because Roaring Twenties "Flappers" were then seen as frivolous, and Clara singlehandedly embodied half the fun of those good old days.
Miss Clara really made "It" big for a while, and then made "It" small after scandal after scandal kept following her around even though she were an unwitting party to it.
Good to know that Nevada and Rex treated her better than Brooklyn or Hollywood ever could.

It's a shame that, in addition to personal-life issues and changing times, she happened to hate the movie-making process of performing in sound films.

Here's a new thread I've created, largely about Clara Bow, on the board for her first hit movie, 1925's The Plastic Age.
