As you can see, this was changed by moderator @Marr in 2017 from Shintarô Tsuji to Shintarou Tsuji. I can't tell you why it was changed and what's correct ...

According to IMDb, the first name is "Shintarô". However, the British Film Institute, AllMovie.com, list it as simply "Shintaro". No source I found included "Shintarou".

MyAnimeList does list him as "Shintarou":

But you are correct, "Shintaro" is much more common, "Shintarô" is also often used.

I'm not sure what to do - I tend to change it? However, I'm going to wait for an opinion of another moderator to make a final decision.

I changed it to "Shintaro Tsuji". It appears to be the spelling used by most official English source including newspapers, his company and Hello Kitty books.
