His voice was perfect on Federal Express commercials in the late 70's.

I never, til you created this thread, Benton, knew his name, but definitely readily recognize his face from movies and t.v.
You mentioned his voice. Here's a sample. (Quite sounds like Edward G. Robinson, IMO.)
