Prolific voice artist June Foray, known for such characters as Rocky in 'Rocky and Bullwinkle', Aunt May in the animated Spider-Man series and the evil cat Lucifer in Disney's 'Cinderella' has died two months shy of her hundredth birthday.
As well as making a guest appearance in the first season of 'The Simpsons', she was the inspiration for the character of June Bellamy in the later episode 'The Itchy & Scratchy & Poochie Show'. R.I.P.

R.I.P. sweet June. Thank you for all the wonderful voice work you did, especially Rocky the Squirrel and Natasha Fatale. As a Baby Boomer, I grew up on Rocky and Bullwinkle, which was so far ahead of its time that even adults watched it. I wish they'd bring reruns of the 1959-1964 show back on some network.
