Sanzhar Madi (Madiev) is a Kazakhstani actor and director. He was born on August 4, 1986, in Almaty. Madi's film career began during his second year of university, when he started acting in commercials. His big-screen debut took place in 2009, when he was offered the lead role in Kuat Isaev’s detective action film "The Other Side". Some of the other films he has starred in include: "City of Dreams", "The Tale of the Pink Rabbit", "The Return", "My Heart – Astana", "The Book of Legends: The Mysterious Forest", "Girlfriends", "Knight’s Move", "Ghost Hunting", "The Golden Horde", and others.
