I recently saw the episode after many years. I saw it as a kid once. Anyhow, his character's name is Danny, and his fiancee's name was Sue. I'm like holy hell. The episode was broadcasted in 1979. The plot revolved around him getting plastered marrying someone else. He tries to get it annulled, but ends up falling in love with Cindy, his accidental wife. There is more to the plot, but you have to watch it. The actor appeared on FI a few times. Considering his demise, it is ironic how alcohol played a part in the drama as well.
