Biography

Lesley Paterson (born 12 October 1980) is a Scottish triathlete, author, screenwriter and film producer.

She won the 2011, 2012 and 2018 XTERRA Triathlon World Championships, as well as the 2012 and 2018 editions of the World Triathlon Cross Championships.

She co-wrote a screenplay with Ian Stokell based on the anti-war novel All Quiet on the Western Front by Erich Maria Remarque and acquired an option on the film rights for the book in 2006. The book was eventually produced as the 2022 epic film of the same name, distributed by Netflix. Paterson won the 2022 BAFTA Award for Best Adapted Screenplay, sharing it with Stokell and director Edward Berger.
