I grew up with Rockford in syndication.i like support your local gunfighter.

I loved him as The Scrounger in The Great Escape, also as one of the geezers in Space Cowboys, and the movie Maverick with Mel Gibson. Seemed like a good guy.

Maverick (in reruns) and The Rockford Files (when current) were faves during my pre-20s years. I very much enjoyed each series.

Ah, the The Rockford Files theme music https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yg1Cx26-928. I mentally associate it with summertime (it was a radio hit in Summer 1975) and remember being at the beach and repeatedly hearing it (radio stations kept it in heavy rotation) on a transistor radio. sunglasses

Sure James is great on television, but he's also great with wife Mariette Heartstone on those Polorock commercials, and he's the best thing (along with Fay Bainter) in The Children's Hour, a totally horrid remake of the 1936 classic These Three.

Surprised Miriam associates herself with the horrid remake because its playwright has to be the most disappointed individual in Hollyrock after how they ruined the original classic, also starring Miriam.

Not sure, but think that Mariette distances herself from James after they broke up.

She even wore this Tee-Shirt to tell everyone before anyone could ask

Democrats in California tried to get Garner to run for governor.he said no
