It's tough to come up with a top 5 here. I probably agree with Braveheart & Titanic, and really like his work on Cocoon also. I'll say this though...my favorite of his is probably Jade. That score is a monster, and might be better than the movie itself.

Hard to say... some of his scores are quite similar to one another, but at his best he was a wonderful composer. Braveheart is a bad movie with a great score, perhaps his best. I also love his work on Star Trek II, Field of Dreams, Glory, Aliens and Titanic.
A talented guy and his tragic death was a terrible loss to Hollywood.
