Christian Zübert was born in Würzburg, where he studied German language and literature. He started working as a screenplay writer for the crime film series DER CLOWN. Zübert’s first cinema productions were the comedy LAMMBOCK (2001), which he wrote and directed, and director Dennis Gansel’s debut film GIRLS ON TOP (2001), whose screenplay he co-wrote. In 2005 he wrote and directed THE TREASURE OF THE WHITE FALCONS. He wrote and directed the comedy HARDCOVER (2008), as well as the tragicomedy THREE QUARTER MOON (2011), for which he received the Bavarian Film Award 2011 (Best Screenplay).

Christian Zübert ist ein deutscher Drehbuchautor und Filmregisseur.

Nach dem Studium arbeitete Zübert zunächst als Drehbuchautor vor allem für das Fernsehen und wirkt seit 1997 auch an einer Reihe von Drehbüchern für Kino- und Fernsehproduktionen mit, wie beispielsweise Mädchen, Mädchen oder Soloalbum. Der Regisseur Sönke Wortmann überredete ihn für den Film Lammbock auch erstmals Regie zu führen.
