Carlos Sainz Vázquez de Castro (born 1 September 1994) is a Spanish racing driver in Formula One. In 2012, Sainz raced in the British and European Formula 3 championships for Carlin. He raced for DAMS in the 2014 Formula Renault 3.5 season, winning the championship before moving to F1 with Toro Rosso. Sainz joined Renault for the 2017 and 2018 seasons, before moving to McLaren for the 2019 season, while at the same time ending his contract with Red Bull Racing. At the 2019 Brazilian Grand Prix Sainz took his maiden Formula One podium finish with third. Sainz moved to Ferrari at the end of the 2020 season. At the 2022 British Grand Prix, Sainz took his maiden Formula One pole position and career win. He achieved his second Formula One win at the 2023 Singapore Grand Prix, after starting on pole position for the fifth time in his career. After missing the 2024 Saudi Arabian Grand Prix due to appendicitis, Sainz scored another Formula One win at the following 2024 Australian Grand Prix starting from second. Carlos Sainz Vázquez de Castro dit Carlos Sainz Jr. (né le 1er septembre 1994 à Madrid) est un pilote de course automobile espagnol, fils du champion de rallye Carlos Sainz. Membre de la Red Bull Junior Team, il fait ses débuts en Formule 1 en 2015 avec la Scuderia Toro Rosso. Il pilote pour Renault lors du championnat 2018 puis est engagé par McLaren Racing pour la saison 2019. |

Carlos Sainz Vázquez de Castro (Madrid; 1 de septiembre de 1994), más conocido como Carlos Sainz Jr. o simplemente Carlos Sainz, es un piloto de automovilismo español. De 2010 a 2014 formó parte del Equipo Júnior de Red Bull, ganando la Fórmula Renault NEC en 2011 y Fórmula Renault 3.5 Series en 2014. Debutó en Fórmula 1 con Toro Rosso al año siguiente, donde se mantuvo hasta 2017, temporada en la que firmó con el equipo Renault. En 2019 y 2020 compitió con McLaren. Desde 2021 hasta 2024 fue piloto de la escudería Ferrari, donde obtuvo sus mejores resultados en el campeonato. En 2025 forma parte del equipo Williams. |
