Biography

Breige is a Northern Ireland based actor who studied Drama and Performing Arts at Manchester University. Since turning professional in her mid forties, she has built up an impressive back catalogue of work and has appeared in many TV and film productions including Bloodlands, Game Of Thrones, The Truth Commissioner, Line of Duty and Messiah V “The Rapture”. She was also lead in the award winning Northern Ireland Fire safety advertisement “NEXT”.

Before turning her attention to film and television in 2004, Breige was a leading member of the acclaimed amateur drama group, the Lifford Players. During her years with the group she performed in major Irish theatres including the Opera House, the Lyric, the Abbey and the Olympia. She has won multiple awards and critical acclaim over the years including Best Actress at the Ulster Finals in the Grand Opera House. Dublin theatre critic, John Finnegan, described her performance as Marie in Translations as “one of the finest in modern Irish drama”.
