Biography

Born to two goofy parents and raised in Ohio, Sana contracted the theater bug in middle school when cast in The Hobo and the Miracle (pictured above). Even as a rambunctious child, she got cast as an angel - a literal angel - and knew then that anything was possible! This led to her participating in theater in high school, where she worked on or performed in every production from freshman year until she graduated. She also committed herself to jazz band, choir, and concert band; places where she could immerse herself in music, collaboration, and raucous high school energy.

All this exposure to art led to her declaring Acting as her major at Ohio University. In college, Sana continued to learn about storytelling through acting in countless theater productions, play readings, student films, and found a love for dialect coaching by earning a minor in Sociolinguistics and coaching a few shows. Wanting to keep her music roots, she joined New Chords on the Block, a coed Acapella group, and also chose to serve her community through membership of Alpha Phi Omega, the National Service Fraternity.

Following graduation, Sana spent six years in Chicago where she worked with BoHo Theatre, Pegasus Theatre, American Blues Theatre, Definition Theatre, Lifeline Theatre, First Floor Theater, Remy Bumppo, Northlight Theatre and appeared on TV in Fargo season 4, Work In Progress, and a United Airlines commercial. While working as an actor, teaching artist, and dialect coach, Sana also worked as the Artistic Assistant/Casting Director at Marriott Theatre as well as the Executive Director at BoHo Theatre, an experience where she found her artistic home and place in the Chicago theatre scene.

Now based in Nashville, you can find her making terrible puns, practicing aerial silks, and singing in the Nashville Symphony Chorus.
