Biography

Zain Ashar is a multi-cultural and multilingual actor born and raised in Oslo, Norway. Growing up Ashar was taught 4 languages: Urdu, Punjabi, Arabic and Norwegian. Ashar first got the opportunity to act in high school, and since then it became a passion for Ashar. The first theatrical performance Ashar was a part of was "Children of Killers;" the cast was invited to perform at the Royal Lyceum Theatre Edinburgh in 2011. After graduating high school, he enlisted himself in the Norwegian Army. Ashar moved to Los Angeles in 2015 and got his BFA in acting. Ashar was part of an improv troupe from early 2017 to late 2019. Since then, Ashar has lived and worked mainly in Norway, also serving the Norwegian Home Guard's QRF, known as DERBY.
