Biography

Šimon Kubáň (born in 1991)

He studied at a Dance Centre in Prague, which he successfully completed in 2010. During studies he was engaged in school group TCP Ballet Prague junior and he introduced himself in choreographies of Ramon Oller, Attila Egerházi or Samuel Delvaux.

During 2010 – 2012 he was employed in South Bohemia Ballet, where he had the opportunity to dance in choreographies of Jiří Kylián, Mário Radačovský, Václav Kuneš and Attila Egerházi.

In 2012 he became a member of Prague Chamber Balletu, where he step by step dances in choreographies Who is the most powerful in the world?, Guess how many stars are there, Mono No Aware (H.Turečková), Sinfonietta (P.Šmok), and others.

In 2012 together with Nikol Šneiderová he is founding a group Sandalfon dance company, where he presents own choreography production in cooperation with multi genre artist Jane Mrkvička.

Since his study years he is very active in his own choreography creation. Together with his partner Nikol Šneiderová they won a choreography competition in Bytom (PL) and shortly after studies they presented themselves on festival Zlatá praha (Golden Prague) with choreography Anyway. Today he continues in choreography work in frame of Sandalfon dance company.

He participated on workshops with choreographers Jeanne Solan, Uri Ivgi, Johan Greben, Gyula Harangozo, Irma Rubio, and others.

He further collaborates with choreographer Palo Kršiak and hosts in opera Rusalka in the National Theatre.
