Hussain Bloch is an Indian film director and producer hailing from Jamnagar, Gujarat. He is the brother of renowned filmmaker Mehul Kumar. Hussain Bloch began his career as a playback singer in Gujarati cinema, making his debut with a duet alongside Alka Yagnik titled "Nach Re Gori Nach Dafli Vage," picturized on Gujarati superstar Naresh Kanodia. His journey soon expanded beyond singing as he lent his voice and worked as an assistant director in popular Hindi films such as "Jangbaaz," "Tirangaa," and "Mrityudaata," all directed by his brother Mehul Kumar.
However, direction was his true passion. In 2000, Hussain Bloch made his directorial debut with the Gujarati film "Sacho Sathwaro Sajan Na," starring Ayub Khan and Sharmelee. He continued to create impactful cinema, directing over 10 films across Gujarati, Rajasthani, and Hindi languages. One of his biggest contributions to Gujarati cinema was the 2014 blockbuster "Rasiya Tari Radha Rokani Ran Ma," which became a landmark hit and is still remembered as one of the industry’s all-time successes.
