Peter Barton is known for his roles as Matthew Star on the NBC TV science fiction show "The Powers of Matthew Star (1982-1983)" and as Detective Peter Burke on the CBS TV show "Burke's Law (1994-1995)".
He played Eddie Connors (1997-1998) on the NBC TV soap drama "Sunset Beach (1997-1999)" and Dr. Scott Grainger (1988-1993, 2005) on the CBS TV soap drama "The Young and the Restless (1973-)".
Some other TV shows he appeared on are "Shirley", "The Love Boat", "The Fall Guy", "Rags to Riches", "Vanity Fair", "The Bold and the Beautiful", "University Hospital", "Pacific Blue", "Love Boat: The Next Wave" and "Baywatch".
He appeared in movies like "Stir (1980)", "Hell Night (1981)", "The First Time (1982)", "Leadfoot (1982)", "Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter (1984)", "A Man is Mostly Water (2000)" and "Repetition (2005)".

All those TV shows and movies are now pretty much long forgotten, except for those of us who might watch them on Youtube. But Peter was also on Friday 13th: The Final Chapter, which still plays every so often on cable TV. That'll probably be his legacy. I wonder, though, why he didn't remain on soap-operas.
