Anthony Perkins. He is best known for his role as Norman Bates in the Alfred Hitchcock's horror thriller "Psycho (1960)".

I wasn't aware his wife died on 9/11. Actually I wasn't even aware he had a wife. I always thought he was strictly gay, but it's been said that he was bisexual.
