Extra Details: There's no incorrect content. I'm submitting this report to request that the birth and death dates fields be locked as I've researched Mr. Edmunds via available public records and have determined that the dates we indicate are valid and reliable.
Why I feel a need for the lock is that IMDb indicates 1885 birth year (like we now do), whereas Wikipedia indicates 1886, plus Wikipedia presents (with no explanation for why) two different, conflicting, birth months and days (namely July 15 and January 1) for this person.
I've verified the 1 January 1885 birth date via it being the presented full birth date for Mr. Edmunds both on his World War I draft registration card, that he personally signed (using his real Michael Fondonia Pellegrino name, but noting on the bottom of the card his William Edmunds stage name), and on the Social Security Death Index (which indicates what the US government officially considers a person's birth date to have been). Those two sources (I sought out and viewed each) lock in 1 January 1885 as the date we definitely should go with, since that's the full birth date that the US government considers official for Mr. Edmunds.

Yes, you are correct, that the 1885-01-01 birth date and 1981-12-07 death date that you've today locked are, indeed, the accurate dates.
Everything else I stated was just so that in the future, anytime anyone sees this report, they'll be aware of what the earlier conflicting detail issue (Wikipedia presents wrong and confused dual birth dates for Mr. Edmunds) was, and what sources I viewed that enabled me to determine what the correct dates are.
