Someone on the IMDb boards mentioned this nascent
movie/TV discussion platform (not yet open at this time):
I just visited that link for the first time 30 seconds ago,
and I honestly do not know anything more about it.

what's the point posting something which doesn't even exist when you are right now already using nice alternative?

Elected moderators! As if that's a good thing.

That site now seems to be up.
It apparently has a large number of films listed
(searchable via the search-box on the left)
(including historical films), and people.
(I wonder where the titles and names were obtained?
I wonder if they might be sourced from e.g. IMDb or TMDb?)
Currently there seems to be no detailed data for each entry,
but just a link to create a discussion.
The admin posted a short note about a few planned features:

I won't be looking for anywhere else. I really like the layout here.

TRAVIS:
Try searching for various people and titles on that site,
and observe the images in the search results.
In many cases do the images seem consistently
the same as those used here on TMDb?.
Does that possibly suggest that the images
and names and titles perhaps might have been
sourced from TMDb?
If that turns out to be the case, is it okay?

They probably are. We power a good chunk of the internet's meta data. I talk about that a bit in the about page and apps page if you hadn't seen them.

OK, so here's a question that I was wondering about before.
If any one of us wanted to make some kind of website
that would use many or all of the titles/names and photos
from TMDb, what kind of authorization procedure would we
need to go through before we proceed?
