The Movie Database Support

Hi! I noticed a tendency of removal the only added posters if they aren't the best quality and I don't think that's a good thing. I always try my best to report images of not the best quality when I know that there's definitely is a better poster or backdrop. However, I often deal with many cases, when a movie or a series doesn't have a HD poster that can be found on the internet and then I add the best image I can find. Several such images were deleted and I already asked about that in a private message. However, there was no answer. Is it really better if there's literally no image instead of an image of a slightly lower quality, like this one for example: https://www.themoviedb.org/t/p/original/7yfUtmR2vKGxc26wIsPtlCXNsWb.jpg ? I absolutely disagree with this policy. If you delete an image, could you please do a proper job of searching for a replacement yourself, if you don't like what I do? Please, give me an answer.

As per our rules, "Our policy has always been to keep images at a good to excellent standard. This means that in some cases we prefer to have no image at all rather than having a very bad quality image."

Well, the image I gave as an example doesn't really have that bad quality. Anyways, it's a really bad rule. Is there a place where I can vote for a change of this rule?

I have moved this thread to the General forum so this can be discussed here.

Just going to throw in my 2 cents. But I've seen plenty of content that has "low quality" posters/art because someone was kind enough to scan it back in the early 2000's but no one cares enough about it today to rescan at a higher quality. And likely never will. Unless the quality is simply unrecognizable, if its the only art available for a title it should be left alone until someone can produce a better version. Deliberately making titles empty doesn't seem like a good policy, especially when people can simply hit up IMDB or TVDB and find the same image there.
