Item: Season 1
Language: en-US
Type of Problem: Incorrect_content
Extra Details: Netflix clearly shows the new episodes as season 2: https://ibb.co/0VQby3D So why would you delete season 2 and add all the episodes to season 1?

The two parts make up season 1: https://media.netflix.com/en/only-on-netflix/81026055 https://about.netflix.com/en/news/all-new-unsolved-mysteries-coming-to-netflix-as-a-global-original-documentary-series

I couldn’t find any mention to that on the link you’ve provided. But on Netflix itself each volume is clearly separated one from each other. That’s why I think each volume is a different season. Otherwise they’d be all together, right? I might be wrong thought. Just trying to understand. Thanks Rebecca.

From here, "Season 1 Volume 1 premiered on July 1. Volume 2 will release on October 19 with six new episodes." I would think if volume 2 was intended to be a new season, the press blurb would mention that.

That makes more sense. Thanks for clearing that up! 👍🏻

Hi, even if that news reports what said, on Netflix the three seasons are separate. No other database is composed like this: IMDB, TVDB, TVmaze, etc., are three separate seasons. Plex for example cannot organize episodes. Please make the change. Thanks

On Netflix, they are listing it as 3 volumes, not as 3 seasons. This is not the same thing.
Each database has its own set of rules.
If you want them split by volume, you should use this episode group.

Banner Netflix Even Netflix is not clear, in the poster brings three seasons, then divides them into volumes. I believe that the difference between seasons and volumes is not helpful. Reviewing this decision is not a bad idea

This is a United States series. So, what they say in Italy is irrelevant.

https://www.netflix.com/title/81026055 Poster Usa In the official US version is the same. Anyway, I don’t want to discuss who is wrong or right, but how not to make confusion as suggested by many users. Thanks anyway

As already explained in multiple threads, the relevant page is the page where the episodes are effectively released, meaning in the case of Netflix, the pages with the episodes list displayed when you are connected and where you have the "Play" button.

For anyone reading this encountering the same issue: They won't fix the issue on TheMovieDB. To workaround this issue, append Season 2 episodes to Season 1. Rename Season 3 as Season 2.

I’m new here and just wanted to say that I don’t agree with this naming format as it breaks a lot of services that depend on this metadata. Even Netflix don’t agree with this as it names them as volume 1, volume 2, volume 3 and the newly released volume 4. See the email they sent me for reference: https://imgur.com/a/B0mjDVl
I just hope that one day you can accept and change your decision, in this and many other things I’m sure there’s problems.

Volumes aren't seasons.
