After a two week vacation for Bill O'Reilly, Fox News cancelled his 8:00 pm week-night show, the highest rated on cable TV for many years. Numerous advertisers objected to reports of repeated incidents of harassment, which O'Reilly denied. He reportedly got a $25 million settlement from Fox News.

Tucker Carlson will take his time slot. Carlson only recently took over the 9:00 pm time slot that had been held by Megyn Kelly. She departed for NBC for daytime work, that allows her to be with her children more often. Carlson's ratings were significantly higher than Kelly's. It will be interesting to see how Carlson does in the O'Reilly time slot .
