It's not a miniseries as Jonathan Kasdan had plans for a future second season, which he had already written at the time of the show's cancelation, in the hopes the Disney+ would continue the series.
A series with a potential second season that was not announced to be a miniseries, limited series, or event series from the outset, had a second season already written, and was canceled by the network is not a miniseries.
