I'm currently working through & correcting both previous & current series & episode numbers. Many series were missing and, because in most cases episodes are not numbered (or, when numbered, airing order was different or episodes were inconsistently/contradictorily labelled) the entries were incomplete or incorrect.

Since the other usual information sources (e.g. TVDB, IMDB, fansites/fanwikis, etc) are also incorrect to varying degrees, I have relied on a combination of the BBC's Programme Index / Genome project and, for new episodes, iPlayer & the BBC's online TV guide. The former is not totally accurate especially for older series (it doesn't, for example, include delays or changes due to pre-emption by breaking news), and the latter only shows the most recent airdate - but I think between them they're as accurate as can be found. I recommend that anyone considering future updates/corrections to any BBC shows check and compare their information against both sources and if possible the current online BBC TV Guide.

Current status:

• S50 - has been checked/corrected against BBC Programme Index / Genome.
• S51 - has been checked/corrected against BBC Programme Index / Genome.
• S52 - was created from BBC Programme Index / Genome.
• S53 - was created from BBC Programme Index / Genome.
• S54 - was created from BBC Programme Index / Genome.
• S55 - was created from BBC Programme Index / Genome.
• S56 - was created from BBC Programme Index / Genome.
• S57 - was created from BBC Programme Index / Genome.
• S58 - was created from BBC Programme Index / Genome.
• S59 - has been checked/corrected against BBC Programme Index / Genome.
• S60 - has been checked/corrected against BBC Programme Index / Genome.
• S61 - has been checked/corrected against BBC Programme Index / Genome.
• S62 - has been checked/corrected against BBC Programme Index / Genome.
• S63 - most entries were created from iPlayer at time of airing; later checked against BBC Programme Index / Genome.
• S64 - entries were created from iPlayer around time of first appearance, & compared with BBC Programme Index / Genome.
• S65 - entries being created from Genome/iPlayer & BBC TV Guide; current & ongoing. (Note: Episode "Kingston 29" was entered as E23 & appears in Genome in sequence - but did not air & as of 6/8/23 is not on iPlayer; "Shepton Mallet" aired instead, so entry has been adjusted. Subsequent episode, "Shepton Mallet 24", is S65E24 aired order - so Genome will be incorrect for these and later eps of S65. Consult iPlayer & (while it's available) the BBC TV Guide for correct info.)

• S66 - entries being created from Genome/iPlayer/BBC TV Guide. A few issues:

  1. As common on BBC, S66 has started before S65 has ended.
  2. Some sources, including Genome, have a "Time Special" airing as S66E29 slot on 02/01/24, but I can find no evidence that any episode aired on that date, it hasn't aired since, and hasn't been available on iPlayer. The next ep aired on 05/01/24 was "Newbury 24" and has been allocated as Ep 29.
  3. Genome has a S66 ep, "Malvern 27", airing as Ep 30 on 08/01/24, but iPlayer & BBC's TV Guide have S67E07 "Uttoxeter 16" on that date. Note that the S67E05 Christmas episode is also designated "Malvern 27".
  4. (2) and (3) were likely dropped likely due to Charles Hanson issues - "Time Special" was a compilation, and he was auctioneer for "S66, Malvern 27". Hence S66 is messed up & will likely be only 30 eps long.

• S67 - entries being created from Genome/iPlayer/BBC TV Guide as aired.

TODO:

• S29 - Title is OK, but TMDB entry is S44 (see URL for what I mean).
• "Specials" that are considered by the BBC to be part of a series (e.g. the 2022 Christmas Specials, which the BBC says are eps of S64) should be deleted from the "Specials" season.
• Continue adding earlier seasons (though BBC PI / Genome seems to be missing before ~ S12)
